What is a permaidea?
The concept is derived from "permanent ideas". That is, ideas that never wear out because they are based on very simple technology, made with easily available materials, and built to last the test of time.
We would like to help Mother Nature and help ourselves by combining all these ideas. To help nature, not just to minimise our negative impact on the environment, but to contribute positively to it, just as the other species do. Help ourselves because we've used up all our last chances, and it is time to give something back. In essence, we are nature, and whatever happens to her, happens to us.
Where do we begin?
The three permaideas we are currently working on are :
- designing the rain water garden
- turning greywater into compost tea
- creating micro-climates around the house
How can you contribute?
At "permaideas.com" we need your help to translate, correct, edit html, program PHP, and add content. This is why we use MediaWiki, from the same people that created Wikipedia. In this way, you can become a member by just clicking on log in and start helping us straight away.
